Ilog Malino AreaAn extensive 15km long shoreline with beaches, fringing reefs and rugged coral atolls connects Bolinao with Baringay Ilog Malino. Several prominent rivers intersect the shoreline including one used for filming Apocalypse Now.
The coastline is rich in marine life hence novelty fishing and fish farming are common. Other local attractions include:



















The Fortress Church of St James at Bolinao is 400 years old and prior to that the Italian Priest Father Ordorico is reputed to have landed here during a typhoon off the coast of China and given the first mass in the Philippines way back in about 1314. This is currently being checked out by the Vatican. The Spanish and then the Americans added their own blend of cultures to this melting pot hence the area is steeped deep in Asian history with a blend of ancient European flavor. The Bolinao Festival is held every April and serves to increaseour perspective as to the depth of local Philippine culture.
